Sterling Silver Jewelry
Sterling silver naturally reacts with air, humidity and environmental elements over time. This can create tarnish, but with proper care your jewelry can easily maintain or regain its beautiful shine.
Regular wear can help slow tarnishing. Natural oils from your skin may help keep sterling silver looking bright and polished.
When not in use, keep your jewelry in a soft pouch, jewelry box or sealed zip bag to limit exposure to air and humidity. Anti-tarnish strips can provide additional protection.
Polish with a soft, lint-free cloth. For deeper cleaning of plain sterling silver, use mild dish soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
A silver-specific polishing cloth can remove light tarnish and quickly restore the bright finish of sterling silver.
Important: Plated sterling silver requires gentler care than solid sterling silver. Avoid abrasive cleaners, baking soda and ultrasonic cleaning on plated pieces. Jewelry containing gemstones, pearls, enamel or delicate settings may also require specialized cleaning.

Remove plated jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping to help protect the finish.
Apply perfume, lotions, sunscreen and hairspray first. Let them dry before putting on your jewelry.
Keep each piece in a soft pouch or separate compartment to prevent rubbing and scratching of the plated surface.
Gently wipe with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth after wear. Avoid vigorous polishing, which may gradually wear down the plating.

Please avoid: abrasive polishing cloths, baking soda, toothpaste, chemical dips, harsh cleaners and ultrasonic cleaners. These can damage or prematurely wear away the plated finish.
